§ 01 — Pricing & commitment

Money & subscription

What's the minimum capital I need in my trading account?

We don't set a minimum — your broker does (via margin requirements), and you do (via your risk tolerance). WS Terminal ships configured for /NQ (E-mini Nasdaq); if you want to start smaller, switch the symbol to /MNQ (Micro Nasdaq), 1/10th the contract size and margin. Margins are set by IBKR and move with volatility, so we don't quote a figure that would be wrong tomorrow — check IBKR's futures margin requirements for the current numbers before you size your account. The strategy can pyramid up to 3 contracts, so budget for the margin on your full position plus enough buffer above the bare minimum to absorb drawdowns, not just clear the margin floor.

Full breakdown on the requirements page.

Is there a free trial?

No free trial. Both Basic ($39/mo) and Pro ($99/mo) bill monthly with no annual commitment — cancel any time. If the bot literally won't run on your supported system, we refund. See the refund policy.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from your Whop account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you keep access until then.

Can I upgrade from Basic to Pro later?

Yes. Cancel Basic on Whop, subscribe to Pro on the same Whop account. Your trade history and license carry over. Same path in reverse for downgrading.

Do you offer a lifetime or annual price?

Not at launch. Monthly only. We may revisit annual pricing after we've operated long enough to commit to it.

§ 02 — Broker & setup

Interactive Brokers & account setup

Do I need an IBKR account before I buy?

Yes — and your IBKR account needs futures trading permissions enabled, which IBKR does not do by default. Approval can take 1–3 business days, and brand-new IBKR account opening adds a few more days for verification and funding. Plan for at least a week from "I want to start" to "I'm trading live" if you don't have an IBKR account yet.

Walk-through on the requirements page.

IBKR Lite or IBKR Pro?

Pro is required. IBKR Lite doesn't support the futures-execution speed and order types this bot uses. It's a free upgrade in your IBKR account settings.

Cash account or margin account?

Margin account required. Cash accounts can't day-trade futures, and the bot's strategy is intraday by default (positions close at end-of-day).

Do I need to subscribe to market data on IBKR?

Yes — and this catches a lot of new buyers. Without a real-time data subscription, IBKR sends you delayed quotes (15–20 minutes behind) and the bot makes decisions on stale data. For the default contracts (/NQ, /MNQ, /ES, /MES), the cheapest fix is a single subscription: CME Real-Time (Level 1) — about $1.55/month at Non-Professional rates, often auto-waived once you hit a modest commission threshold, so most active users effectively pay $0 for data. (Trading outside CME, like gold or oil? The broader US Securities Snapshot and Futures Value Bundle covers those exchanges too.)

Also critical: set your IBKR subscriber status to Non-Professional (under Client Portal → Settings → User Settings → Market Data Subscriber Status), or you'll be billed at ~10× the retail rate.

Full walkthrough on the requirements page and in the user docs.

TWS or IB Gateway — which should I use?

Both work. IB Gateway is lighter (no charting UI, just the API connection — recommended for unattended / VPS operation). TWS is the full IBKR desktop platform — useful if you also want IBKR's chart and order tools alongside the bot. You can't run both with the same login at the same time.

Setup walkthroughs for each are in the user docs.

§ 03 — Technical

System & operations

Can I run on Mac or Linux?

Not at v1 — Windows 10/11 only. A Mac version is on the roadmap but not committed to a date. Linux support is unlikely in the near term.

Do I need to keep my computer on 24/7?

Only during market hours, if you trade only during the session. The default config flattens all positions at end-of-day, so you can shut down between sessions.

For unattended operation across multiple sessions, use a VPS — see the requirements page.

Can I run on a VPS?

Yes, recommended for unattended or 24/7 operation. Common providers: Vultr, Linode, DigitalOcean, AWS Lightsail. Windows VPS sized for this is typically $20–40/month. Install IB Gateway and WS Terminal together on the same VPS.

What happens if my computer crashes mid-trade?

Any open position remains on the broker side — your stop-loss and take-profit orders are submitted to IBKR as native broker orders, not as logical orders managed by the bot. They keep working even if the bot itself goes offline.

On bot restart, it reconnects to IBKR, reads the current position state, and resumes management from there. You can also manually close the position in TWS / IBKR's mobile app at any time.

What happens if IBKR goes down or my internet drops?

Brief blips are tolerated — the bot reconnects automatically. Extended outages cause IBKR to require a manual reauth and the bot may need a restart. Your stop-loss and take-profit orders that are already on the broker side keep working independent of your connection.

§ 04 — Strategy & customization

What the bot trades

What futures contracts can it trade?

Anything IBKR supports as a futures contract. The default config is set to /NQ (E-mini Nasdaq), with /MNQ (Micro Nasdaq) as the lower-capital alternative — same strategy, 1/10th the contract size and margin. Other commonly traded options: /MES, /ES, /MGC, /GC, /MCL, /CL.

Can I customize the strategy?

Yes — every parameter is editable through the dashboard. FVG size filter, entry depth, stop type, take-profit type, breakeven trigger, trailing-stop, daily caps, position size, add-on rules. No code editing.

Both tiers ship with the same two recommended presets (WS Terminal Standard and WS Terminal Max), so the ATR-based stops, trailing stops, and multi-entry mechanics work the same on either tier. Basic licenses can adjust position sizing on top of the preset (contract counts per entry, max cap, per-add-on); Pro unlocks every other parameter — every stop type, take-profit type, trailing mechanism, breakeven trigger, schedule field, multi-entry policy — plus saving custom presets and running the in-app backtester.

Do you give signals or trade calls?

No. WS Terminal is software, not a signals service. There's no human pressing buttons or sending alerts. The bot executes the rules you configure, automatically.

Can I trade live and paper at the same time?

Not from the same install — but you can run two installs on the same machine on different ports. The ports are 4002 (paper) / 4001 (live) for IB Gateway, or 7497 (paper) / 7496 (live) for TWS. Most buyers don't need this; flipping between paper and live is just a single config change in the dashboard.

Will it trade overnight?

By default, no — the bot's end-of-day flatten closes all positions at your configured cutoff (default 4 PM ET), so you're flat overnight. You can disable EOD flatten, but whether a position can actually be carried overnight, and at what margin, is governed by IBKR's rules for your account and contract — not by the bot. Overnight margin is substantially higher than intraday, and IBKR can close a position that no longer meets it. Check IBKR's margin rules before holding anything past the close.

§ 05 — Other

Miscellaneous

How do I activate after I buy?

Download the bot from your Whop account, run the .exe, and in the first-launch wizard click "Sign in with Whop." Your browser opens to Whop, you approve once, and the bot activates automatically. No license key to copy.

How do updates work?

The bot checks for new versions on launch. When an update is available, the dashboard surfaces a "Check for updates" button that links to the latest release. Download, replace your install folder, restart. Your license, trade history, and settings carry over.

We're working on in-app auto-update for a future version.

Is there a Discord?

Yes, for Pro buyers. Sign in with the same Whop account and you're auto-granted the role.

How do I reach support?

Contact page for support requests. Discord (Pro) for community discussion. We respond to support email within 1–2 business days.
